The Puget Sound Civil War Round Table (PSCWRT) warmly welcomes new members. It is very easy to join us!

Benefits: When you join the PSCWRT, your very modest annual membership dues are used to support bringing in quality monthly speakers to our monthly (September through May) meetings. When you become a member, you will receive the monthly Washington Volunteer newsletter which will keep you up to date on PSCWRT news and give you brief overviews of upcoming speakers and special events. The PSCWRT is a non-profit organization, and a portion of its proceeds -- generated via donation, auction, as well as membership dues -- is used each year to support historical site preservation that gets voted upon each year by its members.

How to Join: You can join the PSCWRT by filling out the "Membership Form" which can be downloaded by clicking on the main menu link on this web site. You can either mail in the form and payment to the address provided on the form, or you can bring it in to the next PSCWRT meeting. Individual membership is $20.00 per year, and couples may join for $25.00 per year. For more information you can contact some of our experienced members via email at or

What are the Other Members Like?: PSCWRT members range in age from 11 to over 90. Some come from a military background and include high ranking officers, and many are teachers at local high schools and colleges. Others are simply folks interested in general history, or perhaps have a special interest in the Civil War era. Some of our members are of course "Re-enactors" = those imaginative, fun-loving folks who spend occasional weekends and holidays re-living battles and camp life from the Civil War period. The PSCWRT is NOT a closed club. You don't need a special invitaion, just come on down! We warmly welcome anyone simply curious to come and join us for one of our highly informative monthly history talks, some lively discussion, and a good meal with new friends.

What if I Just Want to See What it is Like?: The curious can simply attend any meeting listed on this site. There is no fee to attend a meeting, although a speaker donation of $5.00 is encouraged. Whether or not you plan on eating dinner with us (most folks do, it is good food and adds to the fun!) please call ahead for reservations so that we know how many folks are going to attend. Dinner prices and reservation emails are listed on the main page of this site, or on the newsletter available via the main menu of this site. Typically dinners run $21.00 per person, and you can make your reservations a few days in advance by contacting Marty Wingate at (206) 782-3941 .
